A FULL INSTALLED OS

Not a live system. A complete Linux installation on a USB SSD that behaves exactly like an OS installed inside the computer.

EXTERNAL DUAL BOOT

Works like Windows + Linux dual boot, but from an external drive. Windows or UEFI boot manager updates cannot break it.

ZERO TRACES

Shut down, unplug, and leave. Nothing is stored on the host PC, its hard drive, or its operating system.

NO INTERNAL DISK NEEDED

The host PC does not need an internal hard drive at all. Without one, it mostly boots straight from the SSD automatically.Or press your computer's hotkey for the boot-menu, choose the usb disk and hit enter. Magic is starting.

Choose your own admin user, password, keyboard layout, language, and login method. No accounts, no age verification.

$ portable-linux --plug and boot
Connect the USB SSD to any computer and boot from it. If the host has no internal disk, it usually starts without pressing a key.Or press your computer's hotkey for the boot-menu, choose the usb disk and hit enter. Magic is starting.

$ portable-linux --work like normal
The full system runs from the SSD while the host OS stays powered down and its disk untouched. The internal drive is still accessible from your Linux session if you want it.

$ portable-linux --unplug, leave no trace
Shut down and disconnect. Your files, settings, and every action live on the SSD. The host PC, its disk, and its OS carry nothing away.
